So I've got a teenage boy... yeah, laugh. So, he's driving (laugh again).
ANYway, he drives an older Blazer. Now, if you've ever had an older Blazer or Explorer, you know about the back window wiper. If it's too 'slushy' to wipe and you turn off the button mid-swipe.. it doesn't 'stop' until it's made a complete cycle (i.e.: everyone burns out the back wiper.)
I clandestinly took his Blazer and had the back wiper fixed.. 2 weeks ago. He as no idea.
SO... now, when he's ticked me off.. I grab a cig and sneek around the outside of the house to watch him clean off a window with a wiper that works.
It's a gift to him... a gift to me....

Christmas Cookies
The first Christmas in our first house, I wanted to make everything special. I got off work an hour before him, so I would hurry home. I'd pre-heat the oven for yet a different kind of cookie. I kept each batch separated by saran wrap in a Tupperware cake saver (you know... milky white).
But THIS day.. after several cookie layers, I pre-heated the oven without first removing the 'cake saver.' Oops.
Did you know that when that milky-white cake saver kinda melts.. it dries crystal clear? I'm not kidding. You could see EVERY SINGLE cookie, all reveling in their M&M and sprinkle spendor.
So we burried it in the back yard, right off the corner of the house.. where you may someday plant a bush.
And THAT'S a Christmas story!
